meta-analysis published today in BMC Public Health finds that prophylactic, quadrivalent HPV vaccination can prevent genital warts in healthy women and men. Anita Lukács, author of the study, tells us more in this blog.
What is HPV?
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted infectious agent and is increasingly common in young people. HPV is linked to several cancers – especially cervical cancer – and genital warts (GW).
