Scientists call for microbiota vault of healthy bacteria   A team of researchers are gathering bacteria from across the world to create a microbiota vault containing healthy bacteria from the human gut and skin.         Multiomics and the Microbiome   Investigation of the microbiome has gained a lot of importance in the last decade. Microbiota populations have been found in human skin, mucosal membranes, and gut where they can influence several disorders, such as diabetes, obesity, cancer, and colitis.

Bioactive Microbial Metabolites   The primary metabolites include polysaccharides, proteins, nucleic, and fatty acids; while the secondary metabolites are low molecular weight (MW<3000) compounds. The secondary metabolites may have antimicrobial, anti-tumour, or anti-viral properties. Non-antibiotic microbial metabolites are often bioregulators or biochemical modulators.       The Lac Operon in E.
