Tell Researchers How Parkinson’s Impacts Your Finances

Dear Friend,

Our community knows that a Parkinson's diagnosis doesn't just affect overall health, it also can lead to increased costs for patients and families. Some expenses can be quantified, such as co-pays for doctor's visits and medications, but others are more difficult to calculate, such as taking time off work.

A new study, the Economic Burden of Parkinson's Disease, seeks to uncover more of the financial costs associated with Parkinson's. As part of the study, we're deploying a survey to the Parkinson's community to gather information on expenses that aren't easy to capture, such as time spent providing unpaid care to a family member.

We need to hear directly from you. The information you provide in this survey is critical to helping us assess how much it costs to live with and manage this disease.

The Foundation will share the insights gleaned from this study with members of Congress so they can better understand how much Parkinson's costs the United States and how they can play a role in reducing the economic burden of the disease.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this important survey.

Sincerely,
