This data may enable the identification of pre-, peri, and post-COVID-19 demographic, social, and clinical predictors of both short- and long-term impairment and distress induced by COVID-19 and its sequelae. The survey is designed to allow for follow-ups on a regular basis, with recommended frequencies of twice monthly or monthly. The Epidemic–Pandemic Impacts Inventory (EPII; Grasso, Briggs-Gowan, Ford, & Carter, 2020) is a newly developed measure designed to study the impact of the coronavirus disease pandemic (and future epidemics/pandemics) on various domains of personal and family life. Items assess impact in areas that include: Work and Employment, Education and Training, Home Life, Social Activities, Economic, Emotional Health and Wellbeing, Physical Health Problems, Physical Distancing and Quarantine, Infection History, and Positive Change. Items follow a simple response set of Yes (me), Yes (person in home), No, and N/A. Although not yet evaluated, data collection is ongoing, and as of today, over 30 research teams (nationally and internationally) are incorporating the EPII into studies of various populations.
