Since its identification in December of 2019, SARS-CoV-2 has continued to spread rampantly around the world and remains a major threat to worldwide public health. The novelty of SARS-CoV-2 raises serious concerns regarding the vulnerability of nursing mothers and whether they can transmit the infection to their babies during breastfeeding.
