Erectile Dysfunction is Common and Very Treatable

thoughtful AA man -- cropped
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is common in middle-aged and older men, but it isn’t caused by getting older; usually there’s a specific physical reason. For guys with diabetes, that reason is often nerve or blood vessel damage. Men with diabetes are three times more likely to have ED than men who don’t have diabetes.
It can be tough to talk to your doctor about ED, but it’s important to have the conversation if you have ongoing problems getting or keeping an erection (occasional problems are normal). The good news is more than 95% of men—you and almost all the other guys in the waiting room with you—can be treated successfully.
Find out more about what ED is (and what it isn’t) in our latest feature, plus the many options you have for effective treatment.
