Can Nutri-Score front-of-pack nutrition labels discriminate the nutritional quality of foods?

There is currently a societal debate in Germany concerning the introduction of comprehensive and simplified nutritional information labels on food. This study tests the ability of the Nutri-Score to discriminate the nutritional quality of foods and beverages. The study also investigates the consistency between the classification of branded foods by the Nutri-Score and the German FBDG.
