THRIVE for Rare - Recently launched at the Summit, THRIVE is a collaborative initiative to engage, embrace and drive change in the rare disease community. Commit to THRIVEand join the growing list of more than 90 individuals and 50 organizations. 

Ambry Genetics Donates Genetic Test Kits - In honor of Global Genes' 10th Anniversary, Ambry Genetics has generously donated 10 exome sequencing test kits to benefit the rare disease community. More information on how to be considered for a test kit will be available soon.
Community Spotlight - Joe Biden Cancer Summit
Several patients, advocates and caregivers affected by the rare cancer, Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST), convened at Global Genes' headquarters to take part in the nationwide Joe Biden Cancer Summit. GIST advocate, Debra Melikian, conducted a roundtable discussion on the challenges of rare cancers and GIST. Nearly 450 additional community summits were held around the country in an effort to create solutions in the fight against cancer.
