Lung Transplant Expert Dr. Michael Tsifansky Joins Children’s National

Lung transplant expert Michael Tsifansky, M.D., F.A.A.P., joins Children’s National Hospital Earlier this year Michael Tsifansky, M.D., F.A.A.P., joined Children’s National Hospital as an attending physician in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and in the Division of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Tsifansky brings a unique mix of expertise in critical care and pulmonary medicine to Children’s National. That passion for these two subspecialties has also made him one of the country’s leading experts in lung transplant procedures and the recovery from them.

Children’s National partners with Virginia Tech on research campus Children’s National Hospital and Virginia Tech announced a formal partnership that will include a 12,000-square-foot Virginia Tech biomedical research facility within the new Children’s National Research & Innovation Campus.  Getting to know Lee Beers, M.D., FAAP, future president-elect of AAP Lee Savio Beers, M.D., FAAP, was elected by her peers to become president-elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) beginning Jan.1, 2020. Dr. Beers will then serve as AAP president in 2021 for a one-year term.
