Yale University’s  Prevention Research Center will host the 2019 Global Health and Innovation Conference April 13–14, 2019. The 16th annual global health and social entrepreneurship conference is the largest in the world, drawing 2,000 professionals and students from 50 states and more than 55 countries.

HONORS and AWARDS
The University of Washington Prevention Research Center (PRC) in conjunction with the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging, received a 2018 APEX Grand Award for Publication Excellence for Connecting with AAPIs About Dementia: An Action Guide for Service Providers. APEX stands for Award for Publication Excellence. The Action Guide was created by the University of Washington’s PRC as part of the CDC Healthy Brain Research Network for community-based organizations working to educate and empower Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities about dementia.
CDC PRC SPECIAL INTEREST PROJECT RESEARCH
Under a $936,000 Tipping Points grant from the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research, a multidisciplinary research team led by Case Western Reserve University’s PRC will conduct a Modeling the Future of Food in Your Neighborhood study to promote better community health through more equitable food systems. The team includes researchers from Case Western Reserve University, The Ohio State University, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, as well as community stakeholders with expertise in community-based food systems, community and economic development, food security, health equity, and neighborhood action.
Case Western Reserve University’s PRC for Healthy Neighborhoods has developed a training video series for Farmers’ Markets (FM) Tracks, a novel iOS application and web app created to manage, collect, and evaluate data from farmers’ markets in one central portal. The training video series for Farmers' Markets Tracks was designed to teach farmers’ market managers and staff how to use the app.
