New CDC Study Shows Increases in Uterine Cancer
Uterine cancer is one of the few cancers with increasing incidence and mortality in the United States, reflecting, in part, increases in the prevalence of overweight and obesity since the 1980s. It is the fourth most common cancer diagnosed and the seventh most common cause of cancer death among U.S. women. Pregnant Women are 10 Times More Likely Than Others To Get Listeriosis
Listeria is the third leading cause of death from food poisoning in the United States. About 1,600 people get sick from Listeria each year, and about 260 die. Pregnant women and their newborns are much more likely to get a Listeria infection, which is called listeriosis.
