On Friday, June 7, the National Advisory Council for Complementary and Integrative Health will meet on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus. We welcome NCCIH grantees, potential applicants, and our other stakeholders to attend the Open Session to hear updates on the Center’s activities, policies, and funding priorities. NCCIH will livestream the session on NIH Videocast from 10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. ET, where it will also be archived.
Our agenda includes a symposium on NIH’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program and its application to NCCIH. A program of the NIH Common Fund, High-Risk, High-Reward grants support exceptionally creative scientists pursuing highly innovative research with the potential to transform biomedical or behavioral science. These grants are made as NIH Director’s Awards in four categories: Pioneer Awards, New Innovator Awards, Transformative Research Awards, and Early Independence Awards.
