Etoposide is commonly used to prevent gonadal impairment in testicular cancer, but little is known about its mechanism and the side effects on male fertility. In this study, João Baetas et al. analyse the in-vitro effects of etoposide and explore the the potential of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to mitigate the deleterious effects of etoposide in humans.
