Improving the Search for Biomarkers of Early Cancer

The NCI's Early Detection Research Network (EDRN) is an investigator-initiated infrastructure to support development and validation of early cancer detection biomarkers and markers of cancer progression. EDRN fosters interaction between academic, clinical and industrial leaders; standardizes biomarker validation criteria; develops a quality assurance program; and brings biomarkers to clinical use.
