Basal Cell Carcinoma

Revised text to state that once basal cell carcinoma is detected, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) recommends complete skin examinations every 6 to 12 months for the first 5 years, and then at least annually for life (added NCCN as reference 130).

Melanoma

Added NCCN as reference 121.

Revised text to state that Spanish and Italian case-control studies found odds ratios of approximately 3.0 for melanoma in carriers of the MITFE318K variant (cited Ghiorzo et al. as reference 167). Also added text to state that the MITF E318K variant may be associated with nodular melanoma, as 5 of 12 carriers in the Italian study had nodular melanoma compared with only 90 of 655 melanoma patients not carrying the variant.
