Ask the MD Video: Exercise and Parkinson’s

Dear Friend,

Exercise is one of the best things we can do for our bodies and minds — especially when living with Parkinson’s. It’s also one of the best things we can do for ourselves now, during the pandemic, when many of us are experiencing mood and sleep changes. Exercise can ease these symptoms and can lessen motor symptoms, too.

Right now, you may have to find new and creative ways to get or stay active. But no matter where you live, where you are with Parkinson’s and what your fitness level, there is likely something you can do: an online class, a walk in the park or a workout at home, for example.
