Lenvatinib mesylate is approved to be used alone or with other drugs to treat:
- Renal cell carcinoma (a type of kidney cancer) that is advanced. It is used witheverolimus in patients who have already received angiogenesis inhibitortherapy.
- Thyroid cancer in certain patients with progressive, recurrent, or metastaticdisease that does not respond to treatment with radioactive iodine.
Lenvatinib mesylate is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
