Children’s National in Washington, D.C., is firmly planted among the top ten Children’s Hospitals in the newly released 2019-2020 rankings in U.S. News & World Report‘s annual Best Children’s Hospitals Survey as the sixth best pediatric hospital in the nation.
The Children’s National Neonatology division is also ranked as the #1 program in the country for the third year in a row. Neonatology at Children’s National has consistently placed in the top 10 for the past decade, and its staff has worked steadily to maintain its continued status as the best hospital in the country for newborn intensive care through its relentless pursuit of innovation, quality and safety to achieve the best possible outcomes for newborns.
In addition to maintaining the #1 rank in Neonatology other top 10 ranked service lines include:
- Neurology and Neurosurgery #5
- Nephrology #6
- Cancer #9
- Pulmonology and Lung Surgery #9
This is the ninth consecutive year that Children’s National is nationally ranked in each one of its core specialties. These rankings are a reflection of the organization’s commitment to quality, discovery, innovation and fostering expertise in addition to collaborative partnerships in its own community, across the country and around the world.
